5,000 Express Entry candidates have received Invitations to Apply for Canadian permanent residence in the Canada Express Entry draw #168 on November 25, 2020.
The Express Entry cutoff score dipped below 470 for the first time in an all-program draw this year.
Invitations were issued to candidates in all three of the economic immigration streams managed by the Express Entry system, including Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), Federal Skilled Trades (FST), and Canadian Experience Class (CEC). The minimum CRS cut-off score for this draw was 469, down 3 points from the last draw.

Lowest CRS Cut-Off Score in All-Program Draw in 2020
In this latest draw, the Canadian federal government has issued another 5,000 invitations to eligible Express Entry candidates. The CRS cut-off score for this draw was 469, dropping 3 points from the last all-program draw on November 18. This is the lowest CRS cut-off score we’ve seen in an all-program draw since December 2019.
Canada is on track to surpass 100,000 ITAs issued in 2020, the most ever in one year
The new draw brings the total number of ITAs issued in 2020 to 97,350. This year is shaping up to be a new record-breaking year for Express Entry, as the number of ITAs issued to date is the highest it has ever been. The previous Express Entry draw saw a record-breaking 5,000 ITAs, and pushed the number of invitations issued this year past the target.
The large number of ITAs is in line with Canada’s commitment to welcome over 400,000 new immigrants in 2021, most of them coming through the Express Entry system.
With the Canadian government pledging to admit more than 1.2 million immigrants over the next three years, it is likely that we will continue to see more frequent Express Entry draws with higher numbers of invitations than ever.
