The latest Express Entry draw #222 invited 545 PNP candidates to apply for Canada Immigration on May 11, 2022.
Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) only invited Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates in the new invitation draw. The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) cut-off was 753. The minimal score was relatively high because PNP candidates get an automatic 600 points added to their score when they receive their nomination. Without the nomination, the lowest-scoring candidates would have had 172 base points.
Now the invited candidates have 60 days to apply for Canadian permanent residence.
In the previous round of invitations, IRCC invited a total of 829 PNP candidates with a minimum CRS of 772, to apply for Canadian immigration.

Candidates that received invitations in Express Entry draw #222 on May 11, 2022 were those with –
- A ranking score of CRS 753 and above,
- A nomination under Canadian PNP, and
- Their Canada EE profile created before the tie-break applied.
With the latest round of Express Entry invitations, a total of 8,631 have been asked to submit their application for Canadian permanent residence in 2022.
431,645 Permanent Resident visas are to be granted by Canada in 2022. The Express Entry admissions target for 2022 is 55,900. Another 83,500 will get their Canada PR in 2022 through the Provincial Nominee Program of Canada.
So far in 2022, only PNP nominees have been invited by IRCC. All program Express Entry draws are to be resumed in July 2022.
