New Express Entry Draw CRS Score Falls Giving 3350 ITA’s Thu, Mar 06 2019

A new Express Entry draw was conducted on March 6, 2019, issuing 3,350 invitations to apply for Canadian permanent residence to applicants with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores as low as 454.

The Government of Canada has issued a total of 17,850 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) this year through the Express Entry System- an increase of 6,350 over the 11,500 ITAs that had been issued so far.

IRCC applied tie-break rule in this current draw. The tie-break date and time were February 11, 2019, at 17:21:27 UTC meaning all applicants with a CRS score of 454 and above who have their express entry profile before the mentioned date and time received ITA in this draw.

The current CRS score of 454 saw a decrease of three points as opposed to the previous CRS score of 457 in the draw held on February 20. The cut-off score reached 457 after a delay of three weeks between invitation rounds. If this trend continues then there are high chances of more number of ITAs issued with high CRS score.

The Express Entry System applicants nominated for Canadian Permanent Residence by a Canadian Province receives additional 600 points towards their ranking score effectively giving subsequent Express Entry Draw.

The previous year saw Canada issue a record 89,800 ITAs, and it is expected that the federal government is expected to surpass the highest admission targets for the Express Entry managed Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trade Program, and Canadian Experience Class.

The below-mentioned Graph will tell the percentage change in the ITAs issued:
