Nova Scotia PNP Draw | Nova Scotia Immigrant Nominee Program

Nova Scotia PNP Draw has targeted financial officers in a new draw through the province’s Express Entry-linked Labour Market Priorities stream. The January 19 draw required candidates to have four or more years of experience under NOC 1114 for Other Financial Officers. They also needed to score Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 9 or above in all.

THE JANUARY 19, 2021, DRAW FOR OTHER FINANCIAL OFFICERS ARE AS FOLLOWS. CANDIDATES MUST:

  • Have a primary occupation of other financial officer (NOC 1114)
  • Provide letters of reference from employers, as outlined in the application guide, to demonstrate that they have 4 or more years of experience in NOC 1114.
  • Have a Canadian Language Benchmark score of 9 or higher in English in all language abilities as demonstrated by providing results from a language test approved by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.*
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree OR have completed a program of three or more years at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute.*
  • apply no later than 11:59 p.m., Feb. 18, 2021.
  • You must include copies of language tests and proof of education to meet a bachelor’s degree or higher with your application. Proof of education must include an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report issued by an organization designated by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada if your educational credential was obtained outside of Canada.

ELIGIBILITY

  • receive a Letter of Interest from the Nova Scotia Nominee Program within the Express Entry system;
  • submit your application within 30 calendar days of the date on which your letter of interest was issued;
  • meet the minimum work experience requirements of the Express Entry stream for which you have qualified;
  • demonstrate sufficient funds to successfully establish yourself and your family in Nova Scotia and to pay your immigration costs and travel expenses;
  • have legal status in your current country of residence;
  • meet eligibility criteria in place at the time you are issued a Letter of Interest; and
  • have a valid Express Entry number and meet all IRCC criteria for the Express Entry pool.

December 1, 2020 Nova Scotia PNP Draw

  • have a job offer from a Nova Scotia employer for full-time skilled work in Nova Scotia that lasts at least one year after your permanent resident visa is issued (full-time means working year-round and at least 30 hours a week);
  • have 1 year of skilled work experience related to the job;
  • have a Canadian high school credential or equivalent;
  • prove language ability in English or French at Canadian Language Benchmark 5; and
  • apply no later than 11:59 p.m., Dec. 31, 2020.

 

Documents you must provide with your application include:

  • Copies of language tests
  • Proof of education
  • A job offer showing the following:
    • Title and duties of the position related to the job offer
    • Position NOC Code
    • Annual salary
    • Number of weekly hours
    • Duration of job offer
    • Address where you will work
    • Whether the position is unionized. If yes, attach a letter indicating union concurrence.

October 22 Draw for Programmers and Interactive Media Developers (NOC 2174)

  • Have a primary occupation of programmers and interactive media developers (NOC 2174)
  • Provide letters of reference from employers, as outlined in the application guide, to demonstrate that they have three or more years of full-time or equivalent part-time experience in NOC 2174 within the five years preceding the application.
  • Have at least one year of experience in NOC O, A or B in Canada.
  • Have a Canadian Language Benchmark score of 7 or higher in English in all language abilities as demonstrated by providing results from a language test approved by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. *
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree OR have completed a program of three or more years at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute.*
  • Apply no later than 11:59 p.m. Nov. 21, 2020.
  • You must include copies of language tests and proof of education to meet the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree or higher with your application. Proof of education must include an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report issued by an organization designated by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada if your educational credential was obtained outside of Canada.
September 24 Draw for Motor Vehicle Body Repairs (NOC 7322) and Automotive Service Technicians, Truck and Bus Mechanics and Mechanical Repairers (NOC 7321)
  • Have a primary occupation of motor vehicle body repairers (NOC 7322) or automotive service technicians, truck and bus mechanics and mechanical repairers (NOC 7321)
  • Provide letters of reference from employers, as outlined in the application guide, to demonstrate that they have two or more years of full-time or equivalent part-time experience in NOC 7322 or NOC 7321 within the five years preceding the application.
  • Have a Canadian Language Benchmark score of 5 or higher in English in all language abilities as demonstrated by providing results from a language test approved by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. *
  • Have completed a program of two or more years at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute. *
  • Apply no later than 11:59 p.m. Oct. 24, 2020.
May 22 Draw for Nurses (NOC 3012)
  • Have a primary occupation of registered nurse or registered psychiatric nurse (NOC 3012)
  • Provide letters of reference from employers, as outlined in the application guide, to demonstrate that they have 3 or more years of experience as a registered nurse or registered psychiatric nurse.
  • Have a Canadian Language Benchmark score of 8 or higher in English or French in all language abilities as demonstrated by providing results from a language test approved by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.*
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree OR have completed a program of three or more years at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute.*
